The Yale Journal of Medicine and Law: An Undergraduate Publication, as an interdisciplinary medium, welcomes submissions from individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. We encourage writers to glance through our official Writer’s Guide to help you understand our guidelines for content, style, and format.

Submit for Print Publication

If you would like to submit a piece for the next issue of the print journal, please contact the editor-in-chief at editor@yalemedlaw.com, who will pair you up with a member of our staff to guide you through the editorial process. We highly recommend writers to refer to the current writing cycle topics page for the theme of the next issue and possible article topics. Though, we will also consider editorials that do not necessarily follow the theme, we will giver preference to those that do. To ensure timeliness, please refer to the writing cycle calendar for information on article submission deadlines for the next issue.

Submit a Web Exclusive Piece

Given the increasing relevance of web content, we encourage writers to submit content for web-exclusive publication on this website. This option is especially ideal for reaching broader audiences and for pieces that don’t follow the current print issue’s theme. You may submit content for consideration here. The editor will respond to you promptly afterwards.

Submit a Scientific Manuscript

To submit an academic manuscript for publication consideration, please contact the editor at editor@yalemedlaw.com. After we have reviewed the paper, we will promptly respond back to you.

Submit a Press Release

If you have information or an idea for an article, please feel free to send us a Press Release. We will promptly find a writer from our staff to cover the story and we will contact you back if we require additional details.
